Weekend Mass Times

Each Mass is celebrated slightly differently to cater for people's needs

  Saturday Vigil: 6.00 pm (fulfils Sunday Obligation) has hymns set to the theme of the Liturgy

  Sunday Morning: 8.45 am (a simple straight-forward celebration)

  Main Sunday Mass: 10.45 am (a Sung Mass with Children’s Liturgy)

Directions to the Good Shepherd Church

By Car: Take the A646 (Burnley Road) into Mytholmroyd from Hebden Bridge or Halifax. Turn off Burnley Road into New Road (B6138). The Church is 100 yards on your left after you have passed under the Railway Bridge.

By Train: The Church is 2 minutes from Mytholmroyd Station, which has direct trains to Hebden Bridge, Todmorden, Sowerby Bridge, Halifax, Manchester and Leeds.

By Bus: Services from Hebden Bridge, Todmorden, Burnley, Luddenden Foot, Cragg Vale, Halifax and Huddersfield. The bus stop is near the church.

Usual Weekday Mass Times (Check weekly Parish Bulletin for changes)

Mondays : Mass is celebrated at 10.00am in the Good Shepherd Church

 

Tuesdays : Mass is usually celebrated at 7.00pm (Winter) 7.30pm (Summer) in the Good Shepherd Church apart from 2nd Tuesday of the Month when Mass is celebrated at Mytholm Meadows Care Home, Church Lane, Hebden Bridge . Directions : From the West take A646 Burnley to Halifax Road, before reaching Hebden Bridge immediately past the turning circle (on right) take the 1st turning on the left (Church Lane) and then take 2nd turning on left into the car park area.  From the East proceed towards Todmorden, after passing through the lights at the bottom of Heptonstall Lane (by Fox & Goose pub) go down the hill (200 yards) and take the 1st right into Church Lane and then take 2nd turning on left into the car park area.  Enter through main door and  left into Main Lounge where Mass is celebrated . You will be most welcome.

 

Wednesdays : Mass is celebrated at 12.15pm in the Good Shepherd Church. This is preceded by the opportunity for quiet prayer before the Blessed Sacrament exposed from 11.15am.

 

Thursdays : Mass is usually celebrated at 10.00am in the Hebden Bridge Methodist Church on Market Street, adjacent to the Cooperative supermarket, apart from 2nd Thursday of month when its at 7.00pm in Winter, 7.30pm in Summer in the Good Shepherd Church.

 

Fridays : Mass is celebrated in Luddenden Foot on the Kershaw Estate in the Community Room on Kershaw Drive at 10.30am.  Directions : From the East (Halifax) take the A646 as you approach the centre of Luddenden Foot turn right at the lights up Luddenden Lane.  From the West (Mytholmroyd) take the A646 as you approach centre of Luddenden Foot turn Left just before the lights up Luddenden Lane.  Proceed up Luddenden Lane and take 1st turning to left by Kershaw House. Proceed up Kershaw Drive to mini roundabout, go straight forward and park in lay-by on right, cross the road behind you and into the Community Room, set back from the road,

 

Saturdays : Morning Prayer and Holy Communion are celebrated at 9.30am.
